Lift It

So I’ve been trying to ramp up my gym routine a bit lately. Other people are starting to notice the results of my work (woohoo!) and I’m totally encouraged to keep kicking it up a notch. I’ve been wanting to start lifting weights and hitting the weight machines but I never really know what to do.

So I got this:

The New Rules of Lifting for Women

I’m a little scared.

I’ve seen this book on quite a few healthy living blogs and finally decided to give it a shot the other day when we made an Amazon order. I haven’t started it yet since it just came in the mail but I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes.


  1. I LOVE this book.
    It's amazing and super easy to follow.
    Just remember not to lift more than you truly can. Everything can be modified.

    Have fun! I put on a lot of muscle tone and felt the best I've ever felt.

  2. I'm interested to see how this goes for you. I was just talking to my husband about wanting to start a weight lifting routine. I wanted to do a personal training session, but he sort of just scowled at me about that. I may have to pick this up.
