That's Grux trying to carry a stick that is longer than him. And he's trying to carry it vertically, so he keeps getting it jammed into the ground and he can't figure out why he keeps suddenly being stopped.
G has a major thing for sticks. He LOVES them. You can throw a toy and a stick for him and he will always go for the stick. Torture for G was watching me pick up a bunch of sticks one day after a storm and put them just outside the fence - he wanted those sticks! At least he's easy to please.

Green Blankets
I just started using the clothes line that we have in our backyard. I like that it's good for the environment and our utility bill: the dryer would have run forever to dry these two blankets. Instead the sun and our lovely 80 degree windy day did it for free. I put these out yesterday with a little help from a certain little furry one.
These are the blankets that Doug and I use to curl up on the couch. Grux thinks they are his (he especially loves the Harry Potter blanket), so they totally smelled like a dog. (Speaking of, do you see G?)

Booknerd Habits
I saw this on confessions of a bookaholic and thought I'd play too, especially since I haven't posted about books in so long.
Do you snack while you read? If so, favourite reading snack:
Not usually
What is your favourite drink while reading?
I don't think I really have one, whatever sounds good at the moment
Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?
The idea horrifies me. I've been tempted to mark typos but I just can't do it.
How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open?
I have a ton of bookmarks and would rather use something random (tear-out from a magazine or a receipt for instance) over dog-earing.
Fiction, non-fiction, or both?
Both
Are you a person who tends to read to the end of a chapter, or can you stop anywhere?
I prefer to get to the end of the chapter and if I'm close I really feel the need to, but I can stop anywhere.
Are you the type of person to throw a book across the room or on the floor if the author irritates you?
No, but I've been tempted to a few times ::cough -Breaking Dawn- cough::
If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop and look it up right away?
No, I can usually figure it out.
What are you currently reading?
American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld
What is the last book you bought?
Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang by Chelsea Handler
Are you the type of person that reads one book at a time, or can you read more than one?
I can read more than one.
Do you have a favourite time/place to read?
I can read anytime, anyplace. I like to read curled up on the couch.
Do you prefer series books or stand alones?
I like both. It's nice to get lost in a series but it is also nice to be able to read one book and have the story be done without it dragging on.
Is there a specific book or author you find yourself recommending over and over?
The Outlander series. Love it.
How do you organize your books? (by genre, title, author's last name, etc.)
Right now they are sort of split by genre. I have comedy books all together, travel books together, etc. But otherwise they are just throw together.
I'd love to hear your answers!

Wicked
This post is totally for my friend Jcam. She's the one who taught me how to incorporate the word 'wicked' into my daily vocabulary. And for that I am grateful.
it's a magnet that says 'wicked' (the upside-down one says 'gnarly'). I didn't get it (yet) but it made me smile and think of my favorite (um, and only?) Red Sox loving pal.
When I was at the store this weekend I was looking for stuff to decorate my new desk at work and stumbled upon the teen decor area - which included some skater inspired items. Including this:

Oh, and I am still looking for some things to spruce up the new desk, it's so boring right now. So what do you have on your desk? I'm up for suggestions.
